About the Role
Ludington Meat Company is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Meat Packaging Technician to join our team. As a vital part of our operations, the ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality packaging of our premium meat products.
Responsibilities:
-Operate meat packaging equipment and machinery to efficiently package various cuts of meat for distribution to customers.
-Maintain strict adherence to packaging standards, including portion control, labeling, and quality assurance protocols.
-Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of packaging tasks.
-Keep detailed records of packaged meat products, including weights, dates, and other relevant information.
-Monitor and manage inventory levels of packaging materials and communicate with management regarding stock needs.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in meat packaging or a related field is preferred.
-Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and maintenance.
-Familiarity with portion control, labeling regulations, and quality assurance practices.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
-Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads as required.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and management.
